Our app collects and shares your location data, including:
- Precise Location (GPS): We collect your precise location when you use the app to enable emergency response services.
- Background Location: When you activate an SOS alert or enable journey tracking, we continue to collect your location in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use. This allows emergency responders to locate you during emergencies.
- Approximate Location: We may use approximate location for safety alerts and community features.
How we use location data:
- To dispatch emergency responders to your exact location during SOS alerts
- To share your location with designated emergency contacts during emergencies
- To track children's journeys (with parental consent)
- To provide safety-aware route planning
- To display nearby safety incidents on the community map
Who we share location data with:
- Our Emergency Dispatch Command Center (during active emergencies)
- Emergency responders (security, medical, fire services)
- Your designated emergency contacts (when you trigger an SOS or during journey tracking)
- Google Maps services (for route planning and geocoding)
1.3 Device Identifiers
Our app collects device identifiers, including:
- Device ID: A unique identifier for your device used for push notifications and security purposes.
- Push Notification Token: Used to send you emergency alerts and notifications.
- Firebase Installation ID: Used for analytics and crash reporting to improve app stability.
We do NOT collect Advertising ID for advertising purposes. Device identifiers are used solely for:
- Delivering push notifications for emergency alerts
- Preventing fraud and maintaining account security
- App analytics and crash reporting
1.4 Photos and Videos
When you choose to attach photos or videos to emergency reports, we access your device's media library solely to upload the content you select. We do not access your photos or videos without your explicit action.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Emergency Response: To dispatch responders and notify contacts during emergencies
- Account Management: To create and manage your account
- Service Delivery: To provide welfare check-ins, journey tracking, and other safety features
